Hypnosis is a natural state of mind; people are often surprised that they hear every word and could get up and walk out of the room at any moment. Unless you enter a deeper state, you may not seem any different, just very relaxed. Most people are surprised at just how relaxing it is.

Everyone has the ability to be hypnotised, if they so choose. It is a natural, normal state that each of us enter into daily, often many times. For example, we enter a hypnotic state whenever we become totally engrossed in a movie and begin to believe that what we are watching is real. Also when we daydream we are often in a light trance.  People may have a misconception because of an unsuccessful experience they may have had with hypnotherapy.  We are all different and an approach that will work for one person might not for the next. It is important to make sure that you are working with a certified hypnotherapist as we are trained to find the best method that will work for you.

No one has ever been stuck in a hypnotic trance. Hypnosis is a naturally occurring state that we enter and exit during the normal course of a day.  There are no known or reported dangers with hypnosis when working with a trained practitioner.

When in the state of hypnosis, our brainwaves vacillate through the Alpha to Theta ranges. Any time you choose to emerge from hypnosis, for any reason, you are able to simply open your eyes and become fully alert. If you were practicing self-hypnosis before going to bed and ended in the Delta state, then it would mean you’d simply fall asleep

The hypnotherapist simply acts a as guide. You cannot be made to do anything against your will or reveal anything that you do not want to. In fact, during the session you are completely aware of everything going on. So, if you do not like where the hypnotist is guiding you, you have complete power to reject the suggestions. Remember, the client will only ever do what okay with them.
